This was an old panelled room, but where the bookcase now stands the panelling had long since been destroyed. The bookcase has been designed to camouflage the damage, with the colour and texture of the old wood copied onto its surface. Now anyone walking into the room would find it hard to believe that it has not been there for the room’s entire history.
